Registration

When can I register for PowerSchool University?

Registration will open on November 26, 2018.

How do I register someone else for PSU?

Please be advised:

  • If the attendee has an existing PowerSource account, you must use the attendee's established login (email address) and password.
  • If you are creating a new account on another's behalf, you must use the attendee's email address and supply them with their password.
  • The attendee must have access to their PSU account before, during, and after the event.

Tuition, Payment & Cancellation

What is the cost of tuition and what does it include?

Standard tuition is $2,200.00. If you register on November 26, 2018 and remit your purchase order or other payment by December 20, 2018, you'll receive a discount and your tuition will be $1900.00 ($300.00 savings). Tuition includes:

  • 4 days of training
  • Opportunities to receive one-on-one assistance with specific questions
  • Breakfast, breaks, and lunch on instructional days (Monday - Thursday, meals not available on check-in day)
  • The social event on Tuesday evening
  • Course materials
  • Laptop loan (if requested in advance)
  • iPad loan (if requested in advance)

What methods of payment do you accept and where do I send my payment?

Payment can be made by purchase order or credit card.

Pay by Credit Card:

To pay by credit card, click here to download the Credit Card Authorization form. Email your form to ar@powerschool.com or fax it to 916.288.1588.

When is my payment due?

To receive the discounted tuition, you must register on November 26, 2018 and we must receive your purchase order or other payment by 5:00 P.M. Pacific time on December 20, 2018.

For standard tuition, We must receive your method of payment by 5:00 P.M. Pacific time, four weeks prior to the event. If we do not receive your purchase order or credit card by the deadline, we may release your PSU seat request. Your purchase order is sufficient for reserving your seat for PSU. Payment is due 30 days from your invoice date.

Is financial assistance available for PSU?

PowerSchool is unable to provide financial assistance for PSU. However, some schools and districts have been able to take advantage of available funds from the Department of Education. For more information, please visit the Department of Education Website.

I need a copy of my invoice now. Where can I get one?

An invoice for your registration will be provided once we have received and processed your purchase order. If you require a quote for tuition in order to process a purchase order you may access the quote by logging into your My PSU page, selecting My Events, and downloading the Quote for Tuition form.

What is the cancellation policy for PSU?

To cancel your registration, please email psu@powerschool.com as soon as possible, but no later than 5:00 P.M. PT two and a half weeks prior to check-in for your event. Any cancellation request received after this date will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. If you cannot attend and do not cancel your request, you will be responsible for the full registration fee.

Travel

When should I arrive at and depart from PSU?

Classes and events run for four days (Monday through Thursday). We recommend arriving the evening before the first day of courses for check-in and to network with your fellow attendees at the Welcome Reception. The last class ends at 4:00 P.M. on the final day of PSU, so please plan your departure after 4:00 P.M.

Courses

When can I select my courses?

The class schedule for PSU Orlando will be available in January 2019. The class schedules for the summer events will be available in Spring 2019. You will have the ability to select and edit your course schedule up to and throughout your PSU experience.

How do I know what experience level I am and which courses I should choose?

Experience level is determined by your daily usage of PowerSchool and your previous training experience. For a clear understanding of your level, please visit the Course Catalog. Each course description includes a summary of experience level and a recommendation for who should take each class.

How many class hours can I sign up for?

In addition to optional one-on-one and evening lab assistance, you may select up to 24 hours of hands-on training, for up to a total of 28 instructional hours.

Will I be able to take Certification courses at PSU?

Yes, attend the courses from the certification list for the topic of your choice, then pass the Certification test once you get home from PSU. You will be certified to deliver training on that topic within your district, will save on the testing fee, and will receive your Certification badge.

How long is my Certification valid?

Your certification does not expire, but it is version specific. If you have been certified on a previous version of PowerSchool, please email us at psu@powerschool.com about recertification.

Will I be able to earn CEUs at PSU?

Yes, you can now earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through UCLA Extension at PSU towards professional development. More information will be available when registration opens.

Additional Learning Opportunities

Will I be able to learn about State Reporting at PSU?

Yes, by making a PowerSupport appointment. PowerSupport experts will be staffed by demand per state, based on registration.

Will I be able to interact with the PowerSchool Engineering Team?

Yes, there will be sessions lead by PowerSchool developers to discuss various topics. You will also have the opportunity to provide feedback.

Will I be able to get help with my district/school specific issue?

Yes, there will be several opportunities to receive one-on-one assistance. Make a PowerSupport appointment with a member of the technical support team or visit our Open Lab hour on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday for help.

iPads

Do I have to bring my own iPad?

All of our curriculum materials are available in one interactive, cross-platform PSU book that is viewable on most laptops and tablets; a tablet device is not required. You can bring your own iPad or other preferred tablet device, or we have iPads available for loan. We encourage you to use whichever method works best for your learning style.

How will I access the PSU Book on the iPad?

All PSU course materials are available in a digital format. More information and a guide on how to use the digital PSU Book will be available in 2019.
