Registration

When can I register for PowerSchool University?

Registration for PSU Mobile, AL 2022 and Orlando 2023 is now open.

How do I register someone else for PSU?

Please be advised:

  • If the attendee has an existing PowerSource account, you must use the attendee's established login (email address) and password.
  • If you are creating a new account on another's behalf, you must use the attendee's email address and supply them with their password.
  • The attendee must have access to their PSU account before, during, and after the event.

Tuition, Payment & Cancellation

What is the cost of tuition and what does it include?

Tuition varies by location. Check the event page for the tuition cost for your event. Your tuition includes:

  • 4 days of training
  • Opportunities to receive one-on-one assistance with specific questions
  • Breakfast, breaks, and lunch on instructional days (Monday - Thursday, meals not available on check-in day)
  • The social event on Tuesday evening
  • Course materials
  • Laptop loan (if requested in advance)

What methods of payment do you accept?


  • Invoice

    A purchase order is no longer required for PowerSchool University. To receive an invoice, select "Please send me an invoice," and a new invoice will automatically be sent to the billing contact for the school/district on your registration. (If you already processed a purchase order or signed a quote through your Account Manager, please select Existing Funds.) Payment of your invoice is due 30 days from the date of the invoice.

  • Credit Card

    To pay by credit card, select "Please send me an invoice," and an invoice will automatically be sent to the billing contact for the school/district on your registration. You can pay the invoice via credit card using the payment link on your invoice.

  • Existing Funds

    To use existing funds, select "Please use my existing funds," and provide your project or quote number in the field provided. You will receive a notification once your funds are applied and your seat is confirmed.

  • Power Pass

    To use your PowerPass funds, select "PowerPass," and provide your project or quote number in the field provided. You will receive a notification once your funds are applied and your seat is confirmed.

  • When is my payment due?

    If you selected to receive a new invoice, payment is due 30 days from the date of the invoice.

    Is financial assistance available for PSU?

    PowerSchool is unable to provide financial assistance for PSU. However, some schools and districts have been able to take advantage of available funds from the Department of Education. For more information, please visit the Department of Education Website.

    What is the cancellation policy for PSU?

    To cancel your registration, please email psu@powerschool.com as soon as possible, but no later than 5:00 P.M. PT two and a half weeks prior to check-in for your event. Any cancellation request received after this date will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. If you cannot attend and do not cancel your request, you will be responsible for the full registration fee.

    Travel

    When should I arrive at and depart from PSU?

    Classes and events run for four days (Monday through Thursday). We recommend arriving the evening before the first day of courses for check-in. The last class ends at 4:00 P.M. on the final day of PSU, so please plan your departure after 4:00 P.M.

    Courses

    When can I select my courses?

    The class schedules for onsite events will be posted closer to each event. All registered attendees will receive an email once the schedule for their event is available and they can select their courses. You will have the ability to select and edit your course schedule up to and throughout your PSU experience.

    How do I know what experience level I am and which courses I should choose?

    Experience level is determined by your daily usage of PowerSchool and your previous training experience. For a clear understanding of your level, please visit the Course Catalog. Each course description includes a summary of experience level and a recommendation for who should take each class.

    How many class hours can I sign up for?

    In addition to optional one-on-one and evening lab assistance, you may select up to 24 hours of hands-on training, for up to a total of 28 instructional hours.

    Will I be able to take Certification courses at PSU?

    Yes, as part of your PSU tuition, you are eligible for two free Certification exams on two different topics. To achieve certification success, suggested course tracks are recommended but not required (except where noted below). If you would like to participate in certification, please make your selections on your registration form. There is no obligation to take the exams and you can edit your selections anytime through the end of your PSU event.

    How long is my Certification valid?

    Certifications are classified by year. If you have been certified on a previous version of PowerSchool, please email us at psu@powerschool.com about recertification.

    Will I be able to earn Continuing Education Units at PSU?

    Yes, you can now earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) towards professional development when you attend instructor-led sessions as part of PSU. Click here for more information on the process for CEU credits.

    Additional Learning Opportunities

    Will I be able to learn about State Reporting at PSU?

    Yes, by making a SupportLab appointment. SupportLab experts will be staffed by demand per state, based on registration.

    Will I be able to interact with the PowerSchool Engineering Team?

    Yes, there will be sessions lead by PowerSchool developers to discuss various topics. You will also have the opportunity to provide feedback.

    Will I be able to get help with my district/school specific issue?

    Yes, there will be several opportunities to receive one-on-one assistance. Make a SupportLab appointment with a member of the technical support team or visit our Open Lab hour on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday for help.

    How will I access the PSU Curriculum?

    All of the curriculum materials will be available to registered attendees on the web-based Customer Education Campus platform.
