Advanced Query Permissions

Permissions in this category pertain to managing and controlling user access to the Advanced Query feature [>>].

Advanced Query permission

This permission controls the user's ability to build queries [>>], by controlling access to the Add and Edit Query page.

Settings:

= Delete: The user can add, edit, delete, copy and run queries and filters.
= Edit: The user can add, edit, copy and run queries and filters created by others. The user can delete his or her personal queries but not those queries created others.
= View: The user can run queries and filters and, if the user applies filters while running the query, he or she can save the query as a personal query.
= None: The user has no access to the Advanced Query page.

Default settings by base role [>>]:

= District Administrator: Delete
= School Administrator: View
= School Counselor: None
= School Secretary: None
= Teacher: None
= School Health Professional: None
= District Health Professional: None

Advanced Query Preferences

This permission controls the user's ability to edit the options on the Advanced Query Preferences page [>>]

Settings:

= Edit: The user can edit the Advanced Query Preferences page.
= View: The user can view the Advanced Query Preferences page.
= None: The user cannot view or edit the Advanced Query Preferences page.

Default settings by base role [>>]:

= District Administrator: Edit
= School Administrator: View
= School Counselor: View
= School Secretary: View
= Teacher: View
= School Health Professional: View
= District Health Professional: View

Create Query Categories permission

This permission controls the user's ability to create or edit query categories by controlling access to the Manage Categories dialog [>>].

Settings:

= Yes: The user can add, edit, and delete query categories by clicking the Manage Categories icon and opening the Manage Categories dialog ().
= No: The user does not see the Manage Categories icon().

Default settings by base role [>>]:

= District Administrator: Yes
= School Administrator: No
= School Counselor: No
= School Secretary: No
= Teacher: No
= School Health Professional: No
= District Health Professional: No

Manage All Advanced Queries permission

This permission controls the school user's ability to hide and unhide selected queries at his or her school.

Settings:

= Yes: In the Actions menu,the school user can choose to hide and unhide selected queries at his or her school.
= No: The school user cannot hide or unhide queries at his or her school. The options Hide Selected Queries and Unhide Selected Queries are not available in the Actions menu.
