In the Admin menu, click District Setup. The District Setup page appears. |

To assign transportation to a district program, under District, click Transportation Program Settings. The Transportation Settings page appears. |

To assign transportation to schools, under District, click Transportation School Settings. |

Enter the information, which includes: |

Enables transportion - Select this option if the selected programs allow students to be transported to its location. |

Minimum miles - If the Enables Transportation option is selected, specify the minimum distance required between the student's home address and the school for the student to receive transportation. |

|
Maximum miles - If the Enables Transportation option is selected, specify the maximum distance required between the student's home address and the school for the student to receive transportation. |

Check if student is in school area - Select this option if a student's home address must fall within the school's attendance area or physical borders to receive transportation. Note: The student is considered to be in the school area if the Home address is in school area option is selected on the Student Demographics page [>>]. |

Search and select programs to apply these transportation settings. |
Note: If you select the same programs and change the Transportation Properties, the new properties replace the old properties, even if transportation eligibility has already been calculated in Program Management.
PowerSchool SMS does not check whether a student's home address meets any zone, attendance area, or boundary requirement when Transportation properties are added or changed.
