Synchronizing queries
PowerSchool SMS updates a query's status every second; however, if a change is made to a schema that PowerSchool SMS uses in the query Schema Explorer [>>] or if you add a new base role [>>] to PowerSchool SMS, you need to manually synchronize the queries with the schema's data source or the role's user group.

In the Admin menu, click District Setup. The District Setup page appears. |

Under Preferences, click Advanced Query. The Advanced Query Preferences page appears. |

Click the Synchronize tab. |

Run synchronization for one or both as follows: |

If you have changed a schema that PowerSchool SMS uses in the query Schema Explorer, under Data Source click Run. |

If you have added a new user role, under User Group click Run. |

Click Cancel to return to the District Setup page. |
