Assigning specific ranks

When you calculate ranks, applicants are assigned ranks based on the rank method and rank weights defined for the program queue. If you have permission, you can override calculated ranks and assign a specific rank to a student in the program queue. Subsequent student ranks are adjusted to accommodate the change. For more information about permissions, see Run Class Ranks permission [>>].

To override calculated ranks:You can do this if your role is District Administrator.[DA]You can do this if your role is School Administrator.[SA]

In the Programs menu, click Manage Programs. The Program Search page appears.

Search for and select the program session you want to assign ranks for.

From the Actions menu, click Manage Queues & Applicants. The Manage Queues page appears.

In the # Applications column, click the number that corresponds to the queue you want to work with. The Manage Applicants page appears.

Select the student you want to assign a rank.

From the Actions menu, click Override Rank. The Override Rank page appears.

Enter the following information, as required:

Insert as # - Specify the rank number you want to assign to this student. For example, if you want them to be offered a position first, enter 1.

Reason Code - Select the reason you are overriding the rank for this student. Depending on the district preference, a reason code may be required when you override student rank. For more information, see Setting Program Management district preferences [>>].

Reason Details - Enter any additional details about the reason for overriding the rank for this student.

Click OK.
