| 1 | In the browser on the Web Server, go to (https://support.powerschool.com/). |
| 2 | Enter your Username and Password, and click Login. |
| 3 | Click the Support tab. The Support page appears. |
| 4 | Click Downloads. The Downloads page appears. |
| 5 | Click the PowerSchool SMS folder. |
| 6 | Under Get PowerSchool SMS, click PowerSchool SMS<version>. |
| = | Or, click the Releases and Updates folder, then the PowerSchool SMS folder. |
| 7 | Under Available Resources, double-click PowerSchool_SMS_<version.build>_Web_Installer.exe. |
| 8 | In the dialog, click Save File. |
| 9 | In the Welcome dialog, click Next. |
| 10 | Navigate to the location of your download file and double-click double-click PowerSchool_SMS_<version.build>_Web_Installer.exe. |
| 11 | In the Security dialog, click Run. |
| 12 | In the Welcome dialog, click Next. |
| 13 | In the Software License Agreement dialog, review the agreement and select I accept the terms of the license agreement. Click Next. |
| 14 | In the Database Server dialog, enter the Database Server name or IP address. |
| 15 | Enter the SQL Server Administrator login ID and password. Click Scan Databases. |
| 16 | For Database, select the database the Web Server will connect to. Click Next. |
| 17 | In the Server Configuration Options dialog, select this server's role(s) [>>]. |
| = | If the server is the only server in the PowerSchool SMS system, ensure that all the roles are selected. |
| = | For a system that employs more than one server [>>], the administrator can select only specific roles as long as each role is assigned to at least one server. |
| 18 | Adjust each role's maximum processes, as necessary [see Server role maximum process values >>]. |
| 19 | Click Next. |
| 20 | In the Com+Serv dialog, enter the Local System Administrator ID and Password. |
| = | Ensure that the administrator account password matches that of the COM+ object [see Synchronizing the COM+ object password >>]. |
| 21 | Click Next. |
| = | Do not enter a Windows domain account user name or password. If you do not use a local computer account, PowerSchool SMS cannot connect to the database. |
| 22 | In the Ready to Install the Program dialog, click Install. |
| 23 | When the Installation Complete dialog notifies you that the installation was successful, click Finish. |
| 24 | Restart the Web Server. |
