Default role

While a user account may have one or more roles [>>], one is designated as the default role. The default role is the role that PowerSchool SMS automatically applies when you sign into the system [>>] .

If the user account has only one role, that role is the default role. If the user account has more than one role, you designate which of the roles available in your user account is to be the default role [>>]. When you sign in for the very first time, PowerSchool SMS prompts you to designate the default role. Thereafter, you can change the default role for all future sign-ins.

After signing in, you can switch between the roles assigned to your user account [>>].
