State attendance code setup
A District Administrator sets up state-equivalent attendance codes for use by a School Administrator setting up attendance codes for a school. A School Administrator must map every school attendance code to a state equivalent [Setting up school attendance codes >>]. This facilitates accurate attendance reports to the district and from there to the state [Attendance Reports >>]. A state-equivalent attendance code appears as a choice for the State equivalent field [>>].

In the Admin menu, click District Setup. The District Setup page appears. |

Under District, click Setup Lists.... The Setup Lists popup page appears. |

Under N/A, click State Attendance Code. A list of the codes available for use in the district appears. |

The code’s Description appears in lists. |

|
The code’s Short Code is for use by PowerSchool SMS. |

To add a new code, click Add. |

To delete a code, select it and click Delete. |
|

|
To combine two codes, select them and click Merge.... Note: The Merge button appears only when there is one or more state attendance codes entered. |

Click Return. The list of Setup Lists appears. |
