Setting up IIS for Windows Server 2008
For a server running Windows Server 2008, the administrator must configure IIS compatibility.

On the Web Server, from the Start menu, click Administrative Tools > Server Manager. The Server Manager window appears. |

In the left-hand pane, expand Roles and click Web Server (IIS). The Web Server (IIS) pane appears. |

Scroll to the Role Services section and click Add Role Services. The Add Role Services dialog appears. |

Select Application Development and ensure the following options are selected: |

Under Management Tools, select IIS 6 Management Compatibility. |

Click Next. The Confirm Installation Selection dialog appears. |

Click Install. The Results page appears. |
