Customizing a PowerSchool SMS system involves the following steps (in strict order):

Caution: Before customizing a system, we recommend the administrator have a thorough understanding of the requirements of the school district and an awareness of the impact that changes will have on the district's system as a whole and on the schools encompassed by it. We also recommend that the administrator be familiar with the structure of the PowerSchool SMS database and understand district-wide and school-specific data requirements. Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server® is also important.
